Export-ready pallets require ISPM 15 heat treatment to prevent pest transmission across international borders. Our on-site kiln provides certified heat treatment with proper documentation and stamping for international shipping compliance.
We are ALSC-accredited and authorized to apply the HT (Heat Treated) stamp. All treated pallets include certificates of compliance for customs clearance worldwide.

ISPM 15 is an International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). It requires all wood packaging materials (including pallets, crates, and dunnage) used in international trade to be treated to prevent the spread of invasive pests and diseases.

All wood inspected for bark, insects, and defects. Only quality lumber enters the kiln. Moisture content measured to ensure optimal treatment results.
Pallets or lumber loaded into our certified heat treatment chamber. Temperature probes placed throughout to ensure even heating. Each load tracked with unique batch numbers.
Wood heated to minimum 56°C (132.8°F) core temperature for at least 30 minutes. Automated monitoring ensures compliance. Treatment typically takes 4-8 hours depending on wood thickness.
Treatment records printed showing time/temperature data. Each pallet stamped with IPPC logo, country code, HT mark, and our certification number per regulations.
Phytosanitary certificate provided for customs clearance. Digital copies emailed immediately. We maintain treatment records for 2 years per USDA requirements.

Over 100 countries enforce ISPM 15 compliance. Shipments without proper treatment and stamping will be rejected at customs, fumigated, destroyed, or returned at shipper's expense. Key markets include:
Heat treatment is permanent. Once wood reaches 56°C core temperature for 30 minutes, all pests and larvae are killed. The HT stamp remains valid for the life of the pallet unless new untreated wood is added during repairs.
Only if repairs use HT-stamped lumber. If any untreated wood is added, the entire pallet must be re-treated and re-stamped. We stock HT lumber specifically for maintaining certification during repairs.
Our treatment meets all international standards. If properly stamped pallets are rejected, we provide documentation to challenge the decision. In 15+ years, we've never had a compliant shipment rejected.
No. ISPM 15 only applies to solid wood packaging. Plastic pallets, metal pallets, plywood, OSB, and other engineered wood products are exempt. However, they may have higher upfront costs.
ISPM 15 is the international standard for heat-treating wood packaging to prevent pests. Most export shipments require HT-stamped pallets or crates.

Kiln cycles are monitored and logged per batch, and our facility is regularly audited to maintain certification.
Yes. We keep treated pallets segregated in transit and clearly marked so your team can identify them on arrival.
The HT stamp does not expire, but pallets must remain free from additional untreated repairs. Store them dry and intact until loading.
